5th Grade Conchita in Paris

Hello everyone!!

We hope you enjoyed the Seraut project and learning about him! Our next project is with our favorite mouse, Conchita!

Conchita has been travelling around the world and since Seraut is French, Conchita will visit his artwork in Paris! So, let´s learn about Paris with her!

We have to:
1. Watch a video about Paris and pay special attention to monuments.
2. Answer some questions about the video
3. Make a pop-up card with the Eiffel Tower! (Just like the Colosseum!) The background of your pop up card can be made with construction paper, cardboard, or anything else that is thick.

What does the video say about monuments?

Here are some questions to answer about the video:

Instructions and materials for the pop-up card:

We are excited to see your Conchita pop-up cards!!

Elias was super creative!

Carmen added a fun background to hers!

Ana R. made sure Conchita can play tennis in France!

Aitor made a cool pop-up and even had his sister, Abril, visit Paris too!

Nerea gave Conchita a nice green background!

Mauro made his Eiffel tower really big!

Alejandra added a moon!

Xián combined great colors!

Make your own mask at home!

Hello everyone!!!

This week we are going to make masks with the students who have class on WebEx. So, if you don´t have online classes don´t worry! I´m going to upload a video later this week with instructions.

If you have class with Teacher Ana and me this week, make sure you are prepared!

You will need:
- a small towel, old shirt, or something you can cut (for the mask)
- scissors
- two hair ties

Here is what I have!

Here´s a video that shows us how to make a very easy mask!

If you make one, make sure to send us your pictures!

Galician Literature Day or Día das Letras Galegas

It´s almost día das letras galegas or Galician Literature Day!!

If we were at school we would definitely be celebrating! This year we are celebrating Ricardo  Carvalho Calero (and of course Rosalía de Castro).

A local Galician shop called Rei Zentolo has made some amazing, very modern cartoons in honor of both people by creating the cartoons of them wearing a mask like we have to nowadays. What a cool idea!

So, although it is not obligatory, we would love if you could try coloring these cool cartoons and send us a picture of them when you finish!! And if you want to send your picture to the shop (on twitter) they will add your picture too!
